This is where Zavira began — my home ground. Every trail, every conservancy, every guide I trust here, I know personally. The Great Migration thunders through July–October, but the Mara never truly quiets: resident lion prides, leopard along the riverine forest, and the Big Five year-round. This is the safari I know best, and the one I'm proudest to share.

Amboseli
Few sights in Africa rival Amboseli's elephant herds moving across open plains with Kilimanjaro rising behind them — on a clear morning, the mountain feels close enough to touch. Beyond the elephants, Amboseli offers some of East Africa's finest photographic light and a landscape that shifts from swamp to dust in a single afternoon.
Grevy's zebra and giraffe, Samburu

North of the equator, the landscape changes character entirely — rust-red earth, doum palms along the Ewaso Nyiro River, and species found almost nowhere else: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk. Samburu feels remote and unhurried, a favorite for travelers who've done the classic circuit and want somewhere wilder.

Ol Pejeta
Ol Pejeta is a conservancy with a mission: it's home to the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, and one of the most successful rhino sanctuaries in Africa. Beyond rhino tracking, expect chimpanzee sanctuary visits, dense predator populations, and some of the most committed conservation work you'll see on safari.
