What You'll Do

The Zavira
Experience

Every Zavira journey is built around a handful of experiences we know work — moments that put you close to the wildlife, the land, and the people who call it home. Here's what's woven into our itineraries.

Day & Night
Game Drives
Twice-daily guided game drives are the backbone of every Zavira safari — and in select conservancies, night drives and walking safaris too, where the bush reveals a different side of itself after dark.

At First Light
Hot Air Balloon Safari
Lift off before sunrise and watch the Mara wake up beneath you — herds moving across the plains, the light turning gold, the whole reserve laid out in silence. It is an optional extra we are glad to add to any Mara itinerary.

Out in the Bush
Bush Breakfasts & Sundowners
A table set in the open plains, coffee poured as the morning mist lifts — or a drink in hand as the sun drops over the Mara. Small rituals that turn a game drive into a memory.

Dining in the Wild
Good food is part of a good safari. Camp chefs cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the best tables are the ones set out in the open — under an acacia, beside a fire, or on the plains with the herds still in view. Tell us about any dietary needs and we will pass them on.

The People
Cultural & Community Visits
Real time with the Maasai community that has called this land home for generations — not a staged stop, but a genuine visit, arranged through our own local connections.

Birdwatching in
Kenya

More than a thousand bird species have been recorded in Kenya. Between big-cat sightings, your guide will point out the crowned cranes, rollers, bustards and raptors that make every drive richer — and if you are a keen birder, tell us and we will plan around it.
