How We Plan It
Every year more than a million wildebeest, with zebra and gazelle, move through the Maasai Mara. We time and plan your days so you are in the right part of the Mara when the herds are.
- Private 4x4 with a Zavira guide, so you choose when to leave and how long to stay at a crossing
- Camps chosen for their position, close to the herds and away from the crowds
- Full-day drives with picnic lunches, so you are never rushing back for a meal
- Flexible plans: the herds move, so we adjust the route day by day
Best monthsJuly to October, with river crossings most often seen from August to September. September is our busiest month and fills first, so we advise booking early.
