Our
Impact

Travel that stays in the places it visits
Zavira began in the Maasai Mara, where our team grew up. The land, the wildlife and the people you meet on safari are ours to look after, which shapes how we plan every journey.
We send a piece of wild Africa home with every guest.
Our principles
Conservancy travel first
Where it suits the journey, we place guests in community-owned conservancies. Their fees pay landowners to keep land open for wildlife, and fewer vehicles means a better safari.
Local people, local roles
We prefer camps and partners that hire and train from surrounding communities, and we plan our own team around the same idea.
Cultural visits with consent
Meeting a community should be an exchange, not a performance. We arrange visits only where hosts have agreed to them and are paid fairly.
Honest, small groups
We keep groups small, brief guests on how to behave around animals, and never promise a sighting we cannot control.
