How we choose
What we look for
Place
We favour camps set inside or beside the wildlife itself: on a river, a conservancy edge or a quiet escarpment, not on the busiest road.
Scale
Small camps mean fewer vehicles at a sighting and a table where the staff know your name by the second evening.
People
We look for camps that hire from the surrounding communities and give guests a real way to meet them.
Fit
The right camp depends on who is travelling. A honeymoon, a family with teenagers and a photographer each need something different.
