Kenya’s
Regions
Kenya changes character every few hours of driving. Choose a region to start, or let us combine several.

Maasai Mara
Kenya's best-known wildlife stage: open grassland, the Mara River and, from roughly July to October, the wildebeest and zebra herds arriving from the Serengeti. Private conservancies on the reserve's edge add night drives and walking safaris.

Amboseli
Large elephant herds crossing open plains with Kilimanjaro behind them. The mountain is clearest at dawn and often under cloud by midday, so early starts matter here.

Samburu
A hot, dry northern landscape along the Ewaso Ng'iro river. It is home to species you rarely see further south, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx and the gerenuk.

Laikipia
Private conservancies on the plateau north of Mount Kenya. Because the land is not a national park, camps can offer horse and camel rides, walking, kayaking and night drives.

Ol Pejeta
A conservancy that protects the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, guarded around the clock, alongside black rhino, lions, elephants and a chimpanzee sanctuary.

Northern Kenya and Lake Turkana
Volcanic desert, the vast jade-green waters of Lake Turkana and communities whose way of life has changed little in generations. Remote, demanding and unlike anywhere else in Kenya.

Kenya Coast
White sand and warm Indian Ocean water at Diani, turtles and a marine park at Watamu, and the car-free old town of Lamu. The natural close to a safari.
